Our Construction Managers coordinate and deliver on multiple, simultaneous performance contracting projects of various complexities. They supervise, direct, and motivate the project team during the planning, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty phases of assigned projects. Why is this so important? The Construction Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.
As a Construction Manager, you will:
Participate in sales-to-operations turnover meetings to evaluate accuracy of the sales estimate and job layout.
Assist with project development including leading site walks with subcontractors, reviewing bids for accuracy and compliance to bid documents, and identifying areas of risk.
Manage the development of project plans in advance of project activity to ensure effective execution by the project team and the subcontractors. Monitor compliance with the pre-determined execution plan.
Develop and maintain the project risk register and coordinate risk mitigation actions.
Prepare or oversee the preparation of engineering re-estimate reports. Utilize financial and monthly forecasts to manage and contain costs. Develop a cost-control plan with team members to monitor, manage, and control costs.
Prepare or oversee preparation of progress billings; pursue timely payments from the customer and authorize payments to material suppliers and subcontractors.
Review subcontractor scopes of work for accuracy.
With procurement team support, lead negotiations with subcontractors and equipment vendors.
Develop, track, and manage project schedules.
Develop safety and quality plans for assigned projects.
Manage submittals, change orders, and requests for information.
Support Siemens project managers ensuring subcontractor installations are completed on-time and per Siemens quality standards.
Document all meetings with customers and contractors; prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
Ensure all permits and licenses are secured for each assigned project.
Participate in customer presentations.
Coordinate resources to complete successful start–up and commissioning of the systems to the end user.
Support in overall project execution plan and documentation standards
Support and review financial project forecasts
Participate in job site final walk-thru and manage the completion of all close-out documentation such as as-built drawings, system operating instructions, project records, and final billings, collections, and payments; transfer or return excess materials.
Manage, collaborate with, and give direction to internal Project Managers, Schedulers, and Commercial Project Managers on individual projects.
Travel up to 5%
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent experience preferred
5+ years of project management experience on large, complex construction projects
Solid understanding of job financial reporting with ability to apply cost control measures for projects
PMP certification
Familiarity or experience with HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security Systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent contracting skills and an understanding of job financial reports with the ability to apply these in managing assigned projects
Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications
Siemens PM certification preferred
Knowledge of industry fundamentals and business operations
Strong leadership and listening skills
Strong presentation skills
OSHA 30 certification

The pay range for this position is $98,980 - $169,680 / year and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
