Site Supervisor (USATC-2024-20023)
Bowhead seeks an ASP Site Supervisorwho will be responsible for the Ammunition Supply Point division at the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort Jackson, SC. The Site Supervisor will join a team of other Site Supervisors on a contract that is responsible for issuing uniforms, transporting civilian and military personnel, tracking and maintaining inventory and any other business related to supporting on-going efforts at Fort Jackson.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
Responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations of receiving, inspecting, stocking, warehousing, and issuance of Class V ammunition as well as the proper receipt, storage, and turn-in of a wide variety of ammunition residue including small arms, artillery projectiles, powder canisters, fuses, rockets, missiles, smoke, illumination and white phosphorous pyrotechnics, mines and other items.
Organizes daily operations and provides weekly reports for summaries to include all ASP and the Ammunition Surveillance internal operations to the Supply Manager.
Provides proper guidance and training to employees (counseling, evaluations) on processes and procedures, manages expectations and employs a goal-oriented work forceGuides while developing employees on proper Safety guidelines, following the HES Safety Culture.
Ensures compliance with government directives, standards and SOPs while providing customer support functions and acting as the POC for Bowhead with designated Accountable Officers (AO) and other officials.
Ensures all vehicle operations and licensing requirements for transportation of ammunition are met while overseeing the accountability and serviceability inspections on residue operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum however an Associate’s Degree or higher is a plus in addition to at least five (5+) years' of supervisory experience in a maintenance or military environment.
Must be able to pass local ammunition security screenings and possess Basic Ammunition Certifications (Ammo-45, 67, 68, and 108).
Additional experience with 89/90 series U.S. Army Military Occupational Specialty, 5+ years of Army Ammunition Experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience is highly desired.
Must have extensive knowledge of Ammunition Supply Point procedures, experience working with ammunition inspection processes as well as knowledge of automated systems.
Basic skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance at this location.
