About Site Design Engineer

  Description:

  Responsible to drive the radar site design, derive and allocate requirements, support major A&E and construction subcontracts, review and redline large drawings packages for 30/60/90% reviews, support earned value and cost management, provide schedule inputs, and brief program leadership.

  Project includes roads, duct banks, foundations for many large antennas, multiple facilities, large-scale cooling systems, backup power, electrical distribution, and security fencing.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Working on a team of 7 that are designing for a first of it's kind DOD project

  Will be responsible to drive the radar site design, derive and allocate requirements, support major A&E and construction subcontracts, review and redline large drawings packages for 30/60/90% reviews, support earned value and cost management, provide schedule inputs, and brief program leadership.

  DARC will be designing and constructing two new sites overseas and one in the US.

  Primary scope of the site development project includes roads, duct banks, foundations for many large antennas, multiple facilities, chilled water systems, water management, power plant, electrical distribution, and security fencing. The successful candidate would have a background as an MEP Engineer, or similar.

  Skills & Qualifications:

  Ability to work in AutoCAD, Bluebeam

  Project management exposure

  Active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one (they can sponsor it if needed)

  Bachelor/Masters of Science in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience (civil or electrical engineering is preferred)

  5 years of experience in Industrial or Tower Engineering

  Experienced with reading, interpreting, and review of design drawing packages

  Experienced with QA/QC design firms or design work

  Experienced with site design, development, and construction

  Technical design experience in at least one primary element of A&E design (i.e., power plant or BESS design, HV/LV power distribution, civil engineering, facility mechanical systems)

  Work Environment:

  Hybrid Opportunity

  Can be located in a surrounding state of Colorado (only need to be in office once/month)

  Essentially is a remote role, categorized as hybrid because it would require you to be able to come to the office once, maybe twice a month (very flexible on this)

  10% travel to the UK
