The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Signature Events Specialist is responsible for generating revenue to support our mission by planning, managing, and executing WWP sponsored fundraising events, including oversight of the event logistics, establishing, and maintaining vendor relationships, coordinating other WWP department involvement, assisting with fundraising efforts, and reporting on event results.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Aid in identifying and/or developing fundraising concepts for WWP Sponsored fundraising events.Assist with coordinating event process and overall sponsorships.Collaborate and serve as a liaison with various WWP departments to guarantee effective marketing and communication strategies for each event, tailored to its specific target audience.Ensure the correct corporate messages are communicated to achieve the greatest return on investment.Monitor event attendance, attendee communication and fundraising results, tracking, and reporting against approved budget to evaluate event success and determine future potential for a repeat activity.Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with vendors, consultants, and other outside resources to ensure availability of quality resources for ongoing events activities.Travel as needed to specific events to provide an onsite presence and resource during the event.Work closely with the Signature Events Manager to ensure each event is on track from start to finish and meets agreed upon objectives.Other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
Requirements
Two years of fundraising, sales, sponsorship, and/or event fundraising experience.
Preferences
Two years of experience working in a national non-profit.Experience in corporate dinners, award recognition banquets, or events.
EDUCATION
Requirements
Bachelor's degree. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
