We are seeking a Shopping Center Maintenance Manager- HVAC with strong organization and management skills to join our Facilities team!

The Shopping Center Maintenance Manager- HVAC oversees maintenance at Publix Controlled Real Estate locations. They create, develop, and implement maintenance programs across various Facilities Maintenance portfolios. This includes the Real Estate-Tenant HVAC program, Generator program, and Lift Station program. To be successful in this role one must have strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate and coordinate program creation, development, implementation, and execution with internal Facilities partners, Real Estate, Retail Operations, Environmental, and other internal business partners, as required.

This position will report directly to the Maintenance Program Manager and it is primarily located at the Corporate Office at Building 3 in Lakeland, FL. Additional responsibilities include:

facilitates and participates in annual business and category reviews

manages maintenance and capital budget for assigned territory

develops and monitors implementation strategies to ensure seamless transition to a new service supplier or scope of work

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Construction related field or equivalent in the areas of Facilities maintenance and Real Estate shopping center maintenance

at least three (3) years of experience in a maintenance role and

at least three (3) years of experience in supplier management

basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

basic knowledge of Ariba

knowledge in building systems (i.e. roofs, parking lots, painting, exterior, construction, etc)

knowledge of financial acumen; PL statements

knowledge of supplier selection process

ability to forecast and plan maintenance expenditures

ability to read site plans

willingness to work a variable schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends

willingness to travel including overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business or related field

five (5) or more years of experience in a maintenance role and

five (5) or more years of experience supplier management

intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

intermediate knowledge of Ariba
