How Will You Contribute to the Company?
Cradlepoint is seeking a smart and energetic Shipping/ReceivingCoordinator to work in our growing operations department. The idealcandidate should have domestic and international shipping knowledge,experience with packing boxes, material handling, and a strong computerbackground.
What Will You Do?
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments andprepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information andcounts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipmentsto verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, orother recordsDetermines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shippingprocedures, routes, and ratesAffixes shipping labels on packed cartons or writes identifyingshipping information on cartons, as neededAssembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembledcontainersInserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, andprotective paddingPosts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postageExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsMaintains inventory of shipping materials and suppliesMay operate tier-lift truck or use a hand truck to move, convey, orhoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage orwork areaHandles all customs issues and Freight exceptions as neededPerforms Daily Inventory count to assure inventory accuracy andtrouble shots any discrepancies and determines best course tocorrect issuesAssists in achieving the goals of the department and the business byperforming other duties as assignedQualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Exceptional organizational skillsAbility to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, andequipmentKnowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenanceAbility to prepare routine administrative paperworkAbility to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbersAbility to lift and manipulate heavy objectsAbility to perform simple arithmeticAbility to detect problems and report information to appropriatepersonnelAbility to receive, stock, and/or deliver goodsKnowledge of FedEX/UPS, and LTL shipping methods and proceduresincluding International shippingBonus Points:
