Shipping Coordinator - Milton
Position Description
Job Summary
Working in a fast-paced distribution center, the Shipping Coordinator will work with key stakeholders to ensure that all customer orders are shipped as planned. The coordinator will run daily reports and analyze customer orders and coordinate with the carriers to ensure all orders go out on time. The Shipping Coordinator will also be responsible for receiving inbound material from other sites.
The position supports the Milton Warehouse Manager and will be required to work from the Milton Warehouse location. The position will work closely with operations, customer service, supply chain, planning, and purchasing.
This role requires excellent planning and communication skills. There is also an important requirement for attention to detail and excellent coordination skills in a fast-paced environment. This position interfaces and communicates continuously with customer service, supply chain, and operations to prevent and resolve problems.
Required Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
1 - 3 years’ experience with warehouse / shipping & production policies, procedures, and operations
Experience with ERP systems
Well organized with excellent written and oral communications skills and a passion for attention to detail
Excellent problem solving, negotiating, and people skills
Candidates should be prepared to work in the warehouse facility as required as part of their daily tasks
