Openings for 1st Shift - Nexus & Alterra in Pilot Manufacturing group
Applies skill and dexterity in the sewing of tissue and non-tissue components used to produce medical devices, in keeping with regulatory and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Use tools – needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling, microscope – to perform assigned steps, in rotation, in the sewing assembly of valves; works at a level of greater independence with advanced level of quality and productivity
• Perform verifications, against specifications, of completed steps, and successive checks on steps completed by work team colleagues
• Review, follow and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including recording traceable information on device history records
• Other incidental duties (e.g. occasional photo copying or deliveries)
Education and Experience:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent Preferred
2 years years experience Related work experience;
Previous sewing, GMP, clean room, medical device experience Required
Additional Skills:
• Moderate computer skills required
• Ability to read, comprehend and speak English, and good communication skills required
• Ability to use small hand tools, hand eye coordination, and high manual dexterity
• Good understanding of manufacturing procedures
• Continuously expands proficiency in all operations for multiple models
• Perform repairs on nonconformance errors
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
• Strict attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
• Candidate will be required to pass basic English skills assessment

For California, the base pay range for this position is $42,000 to $57,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
