Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented ServiceNow Platform Engineer to join our team in the Northern, Virginia area.
Position Overview:
The ServiceNow (SNOW) Platform Engineer serves as the Activity's IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ServiceNow platform, and will be responsible for supporting, operating, and maintaining the Acitivity's IT on-premises SNOW instances.
The SNOW Platform Engineer will bring their expertise in SNOW and will be well-versed in the best practices, having hands-on experience with all common NOW platform core functionality. The Engineer will also be responsible for installing, enabling, configuring, and customizing core applications such as the Configuation Management Database (CMDB), Change Management, Incident and Problem Management, Request Management, Discovery, Knowledge Management, and other modules on the NOW platform based on business requirements to facilitate the rollout of new functionality, interfaces, modules, and other items such as user interface (UI) and workflow configuration. The SNOW Platform Engineer should also have experience with the configuration, developing, and deployment of scoped applications within the NOW platform.
The SNOW Platform Engineer is responsible for planning, preparing, and successfully executing NOW Platform upgrades and other routine maintenance evolutions with minimal or no disruption to SNOW enterprise service offerings. The SNOW Platform Engineer will contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, creating and maintaining, high quality technical documentation of system functionality and operational workflows, and other SNOW support activities as needed to ensure the NOW platform operates efficiently and in a known consistent manner.
The SNOW Platform Engineer communicates, collaborates, and works with multi-disciplinary IT teams, as well as IT's internal and external customers, to translate their voice and needs into user stories, as well as working with the SNOW Developer to propose and deliver digital transformation solutions that solve organizational business and mission needs for the Activity.
The SNOW Platform Engineer will provide consulting services and escalated tiered support to the Activity's Enterprise IT O&M teams and provides mentorship and on-the job training (OJT) to junior and/or lesser experienced personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
Shall have 5 or more years of progressive experience successfully operating, maintaining, and delivering solutions and business value through the ServiceNow platform and instances.Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in the following areas:
Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience with the IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Service Catalog, Service Portal, and scoped applications.
Experience with the NOW platform on the Madrid release or newer.
ServiceNow best practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features.
Scripted aspects of the ServiceNow platform, including Business Rules, workflow, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
Web Services Integration via SOAP, REST, JSON, and good understanding of web programming and markup languages to include HTML, Javascript, CSS, and XML.
Integratng the ServiceNow platform with other third-party products, applications. and services through the use of the IntegrationHub and ServiceNow store applications.
Understanding of supporting tools and technologies such as LDAP, NTP, SMTP, Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Management, MID Servers, SSL certificates, Automated Testing tools, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications in Discovery, Event Management, Hardware Asset Management, IT Service Management, Project Portfolio Management, Risk and Compliance, Service Mapping, and/or Software Asset Management.
TILv4 Intermediate certification(s) or higher.
Demonstrated experience and the knowledge in the following areas:
Experience with the Rome platform or newer.
Using the ServiceNow NOW Automated Test Framework (ATF) to support automated testing such as regression testing.
Using the CITRIX Application Delivery Controller (ADC) as a hardware load balancer for the NOW platform.
Agile principles and ways of working to include agile software development.
Working in a complex multi-vendor environment.
Understanding of risk management and how to address, mitigate, and/or remediate risks effectively.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced high performance environment collaborating with multiple teams.
Education and Certifications:
BS degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline
Shall possess the SNOW Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications.
Shall meet the minimum credential requirements for a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) position as defined in Section 6, Table 1.
Security Clearance Requirements:
This position will require an active DoD Top Secret with SCI eligibility. The position will require the ability to obtain a CI Poly.Physical Requirements:
