Position Description:Ryerson has an opportunity for a Service Center Operator position. As a Service Center Operator you are responsible for performing duties as a helper, packer, and skid building.

This position is 2nd shift. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
Roles and Responsibilities:* Pulling and staging inventory for production orders* Carrying/moving supplies in a safe manner* Preparing final packaging of material per customer specifications* Staging of material for outbound shipping* Operating an overhead crane, forklift or side loader to move material as needed* Completing general clean-up and overall good housekeeping as necessary* Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and use prescribed safety equipment including PPE* All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
Position Requirements:* High school diploma or GED* Some experience working in a manufactory environment* Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time* Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice* Ability to navigate on a computer to find information, enter information when prompted and print as necessary* Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing and mobility* Successfully pass the Ramsay Corporation Combined Basic Skills Assessment which evaluates your reading, math, inspection & measurement, and process monitoring & problem-solving skills
