Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Traffic Administrator 2 .
What You'll Get To Do:
We are currently seeking a Traffic Administrator 2 candidate that will plan, schedule, and route inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments of freight, using knowledge of postal regulations, tariffs, and company policy.Scheduling 3rd party logistics carriers (including ground, air, & ocean), reconciliation of freight bills, preparing and negotiating claims, and selects or recommends carriers to ensure efficient, timely, and least expensive movement of goods and materials.Develop work schedules in various departments to ensure work is completed on time.Monitor domestic/international transports and verify shipments are properly prepared in accordance with the US and Import/Export Compliance.Ensure that all regulatory requirements are met to ensure compliance for U.S. Customs, Dept. of Commerce and Federal Trade Commission.This role will also conduct research on transportation methods, rates, and routes.Develops programs to audit and monitor carrier rates and charges and evaluates past performance and cost of transportation, leading to creation of related metrics, progress reports, and presentations to management.Co-responsible for claims reporting and filing, along with freight Bill and audit pay (FBAP) coding and cost validation processing. Manage Domestic Transportation Management System (DTMS) training for all NG team members and administrators.The candidate must assure full compliance with government regulations and company policies governing transportation activities.Responsible for sourcing and scheduling motorized highway services, and operating equipment necessary to support movement of space vehicles, tooling, materials, supplies, components, and personnel (classified and unclassified).Position requires significant interface with multiple classified and unclassified programs, site customer relations, and regulatory agencies.Candidate may provide assistance in sourcing and collaboratively working with Packaging Engineering function to ensure shipping compliance.Other duties to include but not limited to:Processing of transportation paperwork into computer systems (via SAP or other means) as required.Scheduling/dispatching internal NG driver missions and transport activities.The Traffic Administrator will be responsible for performing any other duties identified by management within the confines of the Logistics' Team statement of work.As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 Year of related experience with Masters Degree.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Experience developing schedules and timelines for projects.Knowledge of Powered Industrial & Transportation Vehicle usage (forklifts, pallet jacks, tractors, flatbed trailers, straight van, box trucks, climate control vehicles, etc.)Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance requirements.Must be a U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain and maintain Department of Defense (DOD) clearance.Preferred QualificationsMust be self-initiating; needing only general supervision for soundness of judgment and overall accuracy.Salary Range: $56,600 - $85,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
