We are looking to hire a Windows Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. In this role you will help to define strategy for our Windows environment and support its implementation. This means you will bring new technology to the organization and help to implement and then operationalize it.
You will also form last line of defense for major incidents and help prevent outages, You will with environments on-premise, in IBM Cloud and AWS. Part of your role will be to collaborate and help supervise our technology partners, vendors, managed service providers.
We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.
What you will doDesign, deploy, and administer Windows based infrastructureInput into Windows platform strategy and infrastructure roadmapPrepare project plans, provide estimates for project tasks, and assist with prioritization in relation to capacity planning and performance analytics.Collaborate with vendors, manage service providers and colleagues.Oversee operations, establish process and standard operating proceduresBe the last line defense and escalation point for high severity production incidentsBuild OS images, patch bundles, scripts and automationBuild CI/CD PipelinesWrite code in PowerShell, Python/Ruby/Go and desired state for Chef/AnsibleWorking Environment: Fully Remote or hybrid if candidate prefersPlan for unexpected and for opportunities to set standards / policies. Also plan for frequent involvement in day-to-day incidents (operations) until you mature the environment.Global organization with colleagues from overseas and work engagements outside of core business hoursYour Profile:5+ years of proven experience in a similar roleGood understanding of centralized configuration management, orchestration, and infrastructure as code techniques (Terraform)Proven experience with AWS/Azure (EC2, S3, AMI, EBS, IAM, VPC) and with VMware based virtualizationComfortable in at least one of the several scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Go, etc).Experience with Observability / Monitoring tooling - Datadog, Splunk, ELKExperience with CI/CD tools and techniques (Jenkins)Running containers in Windows environment, experience with running ADAbility to write GPOGood understanding of networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, firewalls, IP subnets, firewalling, load balancing#LI-Hybrid
