Digital devices play a role in almost everyone’s lives these days and, of course, we use our devices to view, read, or listen to our favorite content. You’ve probably helped family or friends connect a device to their wifi or sync a playlist right? We know troubleshooting tech can be challenging, that’s why we’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help raise the device support and customer service bar for the millions of Amazon customers who ask Alexa for information, read the latest best sellers on Kindle, or binge award winning shows on Fire TV via Prime Video. A designer who can design intuitive experiences that empower customers to easily self solve problems with their devices as well as streamlining their experience should they need to contact us for assistance. You’ll work closely with a team of smart, passionate designers, user researchers, UX writers, product managers, and developers to drive a design process that always works backwards from the customer to deliver great results.
Key job responsibilities
Drive new, creative, holistic, and multi-model thinking across diverse product releases, apps, and devices; driving the direction, style, and methodology of design and accessibility
Lead cross-team conceptual development that represents the most customer-centric intersection between design, business, content, and technology including AI
Work with tech partners to understand the data produced by a device and clarify the insights to be shared with customers
Demonstrate systems-level design thinking, delivering design solutions that scale
Contribute to the group’s best practices for UX design while continually advocating design thinking, process, and craft throughout our organization

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing for multiple platforms such as mobile, multimodal, voice, and web
A strong track record of iterative design, working closely with customers, business partners, and developers throughout the entire product lifecycle
A strong understanding of device diagnostics and data
Ability to drive the design review cycle and lead closure on design requirements
Deep knowledge of accessible design best practices
Experience organizing and driving design sprints and customer journey mapping
Experience communicating to a broad range of partners and stakeholders
Ability to navigate ambiguity to drive the design cycle and multitask
Ability to produce functional prototypes
