Role Purpose
Hands on experience in MS office applications Good verbal & written communication -Ability to handle demanding working environment and work under pressure. Candidates with 3-4 years of mortgage processing experience and a background in Mortgage Originations Ops Willingness to learn / Trainable / Problem solver. Attention to detail - Has to be accurate on numbers and deliver in timely manner
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ability to manually underwrite complex transactions to ensure the loan meets established guidelines.
- should have experience in mortgage insurance guidelines
- Underwriter should have the ability to read the guidelines to determine whether each loan meets the requisite guideline as specified by the Client.
- Should know how to run the AUS and verify the data integrity off the Desktop UW / Loan Prospector
- Review the Employment Guideline Requirements
- Perform Income calculations (salaried / Self-employed / Rental / Other Incomes)
- Validate all type of Assets including 401K, Bank Statements, Mutual funds etc.,
- Usage of Assets against Income requirement / qualification
- Calculate Debt-to-Income Ratio, Loan-to-value Ratio, Housing Payments
- Review appraisal and perform Property Valuation and use property valuation tools
- Review Credit Report including Credit Scores, Existing liens, payments etc.,
- Should also review on the alternate / support documents for credit review.
- Title review and lien validations
- Review loan details in Loan application, Letter of explanations, gift letters
- Income verification on Bank statement loans.
- Client specific guideline review with alternate documentations
- Understanding on Counteroffer and Solution the loan
- Review on compliance documents
Qualifications:
Graduates / Postgraduates in any stream
