Your Mission: The primary responsibility of the Senior Training Specialist is to develop and deliver onsite and virtual customer training to support success with Medidata solutions. The Senior Training Specialist owns the design, development, maintenance, integration, and delivery of Medidata core curricula that anchors product-centric customer learning paths and associated customer education programs. For example: Medidata Solutions, Clinical Trial Operations, Clinical Trial Best Practices.
Responsibilities: - Perform learner needs analysis to design Medidata core curricula in the context of customer & product learning paths, programs - Author, deploy, integrate, and deliver all modalities of customer training (eLearning, ILT virtual/onsite, ILT virtual/onsite webinars, show me videos, microlearning) - Create learner exercises and applied skills labs or activities to enable learning success - Configure training environments to support associated learner exercises and applied skills activity - Establish, grow, and lead a stakeholder team and customer community to define and ensure the effectiveness of targeted outcomes - Create measures and KPIs to demonstrate the value of targeted outcomes and to execute continuous improvements - Work with LSD Strategist to position this curricula within the customer learning services portfolio and other salable learning services - Learn & apply standard Medidata guidelines, procedures, and processes for customer training development & delivery - Build & maintain productive and continuous channels of communication and reporting to share the value proposition and targeted outcomes across the organization - Promote learner interest and participation throughout training sessions; direct customers to Medidata representatives when upsell/expansion opportunities surface
Competencies: - 5 - 7 years experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training to customers - Mastery of ADDIE learning content methodology (or equivalent) - Deep knowledge of the Life Sciences and clinical trial operations industry - Demonstrated proficiency in global technical training development and delivery - Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Camtasia - Ability to recognize and adjust training delivery across a diverse level of learners in a single session - Self-motivated, innovative, accountable, and ability to work autonomously and professionally - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Excellent critical thinking, analytical and applied technical skills - Strong Microsoft Office and G-Suite skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to travel up to 50% - domestic and international travel as necessary - Ability to work from home or office as needed
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Technical Training, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $79,500-106,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $84,000-112,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $78,000-104,000. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $70,125-93,500. The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $71,250-95,000. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
