Cornerstone is looking for a Senior Technical Writer. This person is expected to work as an Individual contributor, completely Hands-on and providing support in creating and editing customer-focused product documentation. The employee is a member of the Product Documentation team and reports directly to the Product Documentation Manager.

In this role, you'll work with development teams in a cross-functional, distributed environment. In addition, you'll need excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical publications to deadlines driven by customer needs. Research, outline, write, and edit new, and existing content that meets quality standards with excellent attention to detail. Content should be clear, concise, correct, and without spelling or grammatical mistakes. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including product managers, product marketing, quality assurance, and engineers, to produce and maintain world-class product documentation. Prepare world-class product documentation, including Admin and User Guides, Integration and Installation Guides, Online Help, and so on. Implement feedback from internal stakeholders and customers in a timely manner. Test both the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency. Work with global teams, including flexibility to work and engage with remote teams during offcore working hours when necessary. Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engaging, succinct, and logical for users. Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources, including discussions with engineers and hands-on experimentation, to document new or changing product functionality. Strong technical aptitude to quickly learn new concepts and tools and technologies and an ability to analyze and solve problems. Think outside-the-box and innovate to improve documentation processes, standards, and overall documentation quality. Help improve the user experience by providing feedback about the product and write user interface text that facilitates user navigation, including error messages, labels, and other on-screen elements. Write for a variety of audiences, from non-technical end users to programmers, system administrators, and HR administrators. Ability to multi-task to meet the release deadlines and timelines in a fast-paced, changing environment in a self-sustaining manner. Work independently to plan, schedule, estimate, prioritize, and track multiple documentation projects to meet the release deadlines and timelines in a fast-paced, changing environment in a self-sustaining manner. Lead and manage own projects or initiatives as an individual contributor. Have a positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges and enjoys working as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
You've Got What It Takes If You Have...
BA/MA in English/Journalism or related discipline or BE/BTech with at least 8-10 years of experience working as a Technical Writer, preferably for a product- or SaaS-based company. Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus along with using the following tools and technologies: Confluence/JIRA, MadCap Flare, Git, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Office.
