As part of the Atlassian Corporate Engineering (ACE) team at Atlassian, your role will unlock the potential of every team within the company. The ACE team delivers advanced technology and solutions that empower Atlassian teams to excel in their respective missions:
Develop data-driven features using AI/ML and other new technologies.Build GTM solutions that fuel the growth of the Atlassian business.Ensure success of important business decision-making processes by delivering enterprise-grade solutions across finance, commerce, people and workplace domains.
As a Technical Program Manager reporting to a Head of TPM on the ACE team you will define and manage technical programs and success metrics. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of fundamental challenges, shape technical requirements according to needs and collaborate with partners to develop comprehensive solutions. You will use your technical expertise to comprehend product architecture, identify potential risks, collaborate on mitigations needed to ensure delivery of the solution per requirements. You will create plans, communicate status, manage risk in execution and ensure successful completion of projects.
What you'll do
Understand our goals and translate them into technical requirements.Use your technical understanding of Atlassian and related systems to partner with and influence engineers and architects in delivering solutions.Build a project plan for delivery and communicate the status of project execution and associated risks to partners in a regular rhythm.Make data informed decisions for your project, understand tradeoffs and balance speed of delivery with risk management.Manage complex dependencies and projects with a broad scope across the company.Promote change and best practices.
Your background
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience7+ years of experience in software engineering or technical product/program managementAbility to translate goals into technical problems and programsKnowledge of system design.Willingness to develop domain expertise in the area you operate - TPMs are not expected to write or read code, but are expected to understand system flows, block architectures, APIs and such.Experience defining and running end-to-end complex technical programsExcellent verbal and written skills
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $171,800 - $229,000
Zone B: $154,600 - $206,100
Zone C: $142,600 - $190,100
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
