Make Your Mark:
The primary purpose for the Senior Technical Implementation Consultant is to advise customers on best practices related to the technical environment during the implementation of BlackLine. The primary focus is on the implementation of our ERP Connectors and APIs to transfer data to and from ERPs to BlackLine. Using their extensive knowledge of the BlackLine application and technical knowledge, they can advise on best practices and work with customers through complex requirements to configure the suite of products to perform as contracted. This role is also responsible for consulting with the client regarding best practices and client business needs in order to best configure the software and provide exceptional customer service. The Senior Technical Implementation Consultant also guides and mentors new or less experienced Technical Implementation Consultants to transfer and ramp-up their knowledge and skills to advise customers and potential customers.
You'll Get To:
• Drives and manages all implementation milestones to completion within budget, scope, schedule, and customer satisfaction
• Creates and maintains thorough documentation throughout the implementation to include billable hours, Salesforce notes/documentation, expense management, etc
• Utilizes business acumen, Accounting/Finance Industry knowledge, and product knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor and become an application expert to address client use cases and business challenges
• Builds strong and positive relationships with client contacts, including executive sponsors and management for the duration of the project and post-delivery transition
• Drives analysis and provides client recommendations at both strategic and operational levels, based on project objectives
• Elicits, documents, interprets and translates client business requirements or high-level requirements to be used for application configuration and testing solutions during implementations
• Responds to client communications and proactively researches, resolves issues, and provides best practices with a high sense of urgency and customer service
• Manages project deliverables from beginning to end and defines and confirms scope, ensuring that all specifications are clearly defined to satisfy expectations
• Establishes a strategy of continuous risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the project life cycle including budgetary, timeline and performance considerations
• Works with product to provide customer feedback, implementation feedback, as well as best practices from an ERP and accounting standpoint to further usage and functionality of our connectors
• Assists sales in pre-sales discussions with potential clients to answer questions and address client concerns on connector and API tools
• Performs other tasks and responsibilities as required
What You'll Bring:
Years of Experience in Related Field: At least 5 years of experience in Consulting Services, Client Services and/or Professional Services environmentEducation: Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent from work experience.Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: SAP, Netsuite, Intacct, GP, and/or Oracle experience; admin/development experience preferredExperience troubleshooting, configuring, and discussing APIsUsage of tools such as Postman and SOAPUIKnowledge of SAP nomenclature, ie BADI, BAPI, Transaction CodesProven experience to balance multiple projects at any given time and stay on top of all detailsDemonstrated experience communicating and presenting to a diverse set of people across groups and organizational levels Expertise with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of software application Experience in a high-revenue producing environment (eg billing of time and materials)Demonstrated and proven experience documenting Business Requirements for software development and technical specificationsKnowledge/experience in Accounting, Audits, Financial Services, Software Technology, SaaS industry and/or related experienceKnowledge of MS Office, MS Project, Salesforce/CRM, Accounting SoftwareKnowledge of accounting terminology and processes (e.g. month-end close process)Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective negotiation/conflict resolution skillsAbility to foster a sense of inclusivenessAbility to navigate ambiguous or difficult situations or personalitiesAbility to facilitate and harness cross-team collaboration working with teams in-person and virtuallyExperience working closely with ERP implementation/configuration/developmentAbility to work independently and to self-learnWillingness to meet multiple goals from various sources in the organization

Salary Range:
USD $114,400.00 - USD $164,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
