Position summary:
The Sr. Technical Solution Analyst is responsible for design, configuration and testing activities PTC Windchill and /or THingworx set of applications. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the delivery of approved projects through the project management framework. The Sr. Technical Solution Analyst needs to be able to produce detailed technical documents, configure and/or develop within PTC suite of products and understand the overall design and architecture of a platform, and deliver the end to end technical solution.
Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)
Perform activities following Stryker's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processesTechnical Design, Development, Testing and Delivery of PTC Windchill and Thingworx solutions for Release Cycles and/or new projects within a Shared Service Platform / application stackIdentify opportunities to improve the systems process flow, performance and technical efficiencies.These responsibilities will be distributed across Projects, Release Cycles and Operations / Support.Produce technical documents, configure and/or develop within assigned applications and understand the overall design/architecture of a platform. Communication within IS teams is critical for both day-to-day events and building out new solutions.Transition knowledge of the new/enhanced capabilities (including technical aspects) to the Service Delivery Team(s).Be able to support the business and recommend/provide holistic solutions that integrate the existing technical standards with the business needs and processesRecommend approaches to optimize/tune systems performance.Create both system and technical documentation. Work with other IT teams along with business teams to deliver business solutionsPartner with Business Analysts in understanding system requirements and translating into solutions within an application and/or application stackGuides and mentors other Solution AnalystsFinancial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables.Special projects/assignments as required.
Education & special trainings:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study required.
Qualifications & experience:
Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with PTC Windchill and/or Thingworx is required.Knowledge of the Windchill architecture and major modules (PDMLink, ProjectLink, QMS etc.)Experience in developing workflows, data loaders, UI customizations, listener services, OData Rest services etc. using Windchill APIs .Experience in Windchill Document Management, Change Management, CAD/Part/BOM Management, ESI TIBCO, SUMADesigning and configuring Thingworx(9.3.x) applications, Data Modeling - Thing Shape, Thing Template, Thing, Visualization - Mashup, Dashboard , Data Storage Streams, Datable.Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control is requiredExperience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes is requiredExperience working with high level business stakeholders is requiredExperience working in a regulated environment is preferredKnowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.Versatility and willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Senior ManagementDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.Strong data analysis and problem-solving skillsExceptional written, verbal and presentation skills to a diverse set of audiences
