Description
Amazon is seeking an experienced Indirect Senior Tax Manager to join its International Indirect Tax Compliance ("ITX") team in Seattle or Arlington (USA), London (UK) or Sao Paulo (Brazil).
The ITX team is expanding to scale with Amazon's growth. ITX is dedicated to ongoing improvements and is seeking a tax professional with global ITX background as well as experience in managing global projects, specially for the implementation of e-invoicing and e-filling regimes worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Lead the implementation of ITX Compliance requirements connected to e-invoicing and e-filling obligations across all regions by (for example, but not limited to):
• Acting as subject owner and central point of contact representing ITX Compliance for partnering with cross functional leaders and stakeholder on global Special Projects, including e-invoicing and e-filling Projects
• Driving functional teams to determine best and standard practices on the subject
• Ensuring best/ standard practices are shared appropriately within the org
• Monitoring & influencing decisions
• Identifying value add actions for global ITX projects
• Owning follow-up and closure on key actions
• Capturing lessons learned and lead deployment of e-invoices and e-filling requirements globally
• Monitoring results and progress towards org goals
Facilitate senior leadership decisions and processes by:
• Supporting the implementation of automated systems ensuring strong follow-up management
• Owning action items with relevant senior leaders in coordination with ITX Compliance
• Monitoring the progress of Amazon senior leadership team goals
• Drawing ITX leadership focus and attention to key bottlenecks, identifying potential solutions and leading implementation of path to green processes

Basic Qualifications
12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
12+ years of tax experience with a significant amount of time providing technical guidance experience
7+ years of managing a high caliber team experience
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within a multinational business and either legal or accountancy firm experience
Experience working with tax compliance software such as GTCE, Vertex, ONESOURCE, etc.
Experience managing teams and external advisors

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
