Your New Role
This position is for a Senior Tax Director on the WBD Tax Provision Team. The position will lead non-US components of WBD Tax Provision and components of worldwide consolidation. Your role will involve working closely with US and non-US teams, internal stakeholders from finance and accounting teams, and the rest of the tax team, which includes external colleagues under our co-source arrangement. This role is very collaborative and requires someone who is detail-oriented and has strong communication skills.
Your Role Accountabilities
Leads quarterly & annual US GAAP provision process for a significant volume of non-US entities. Oversees coordination and accuracy of non-US tax packages. Identify risks and opportunities and provide. tax accounting advisory to local teams. US review and sign-off of local tax provisions.
Leads and prioritizes improvements to the non-US entities US GAAP provision process, including incorporating into WBD’s provision software, One Source Tax Provision, on a go forward basis.
Leads and prioritizes special projects for the non-US entities between quarters including uncertain tax positions and valuation allowance review, cash tax forecast, tracking of monthly cash tax actuals, SAP S4HANA design and implementation, account reconciliations, new legislation implementation, etc.
Develops talent and provides guidance to direct report.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ year experience, mix of public/industry experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Master’s in Taxation preferred
CPA preferred.
Advanced experience in US GAAP and accounting for income taxes
Proficient experience with tax reporting technology
Strong analytical skills and high level of attention to details
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experienced in problem solving and ability to make decisions.
Good communication skills and proven ability to develop professional relationships with internal and external parties.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
Openness to working in co-sourcing arrangement with Big 4 firm.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $167,020.00 - $310,180.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
