The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilledSenior Systems Engineer with PKI experienceto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, and managing our organization's information systems. Your key tasks will include evaluating existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, and developing innovative solutions to enhance system functionality and efficiency. You will troubleshoot issues, perform system upgrades, and maintain security protocols to ensure data integrity and infrastructure reliability. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, you will recommend and implement cutting-edge solutions that align with our company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Propose end-to-end solutions for the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of PKI-based authentication for the Special Access networked system.Provide necessary hardware, software, and tokens to support the Special Access PKI solution.Work with Security Engineers and ISSOs to identify required security controls based on RMF (Risk Management Framework) requirements.Provide all necessary information for Change Management, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), and system documentation for submission to customers, ISSM, and AO (Authorizing Official).Perform certificate generation and issuance for the Special Access system.Provide secure key storage capabilities and key recovery for the Special Access system.Conduct discovery meetings with customers to gather requirements for upcoming projects.Assist with solutioning based on customer problems, pain points, mission, and requirements.Required Qualifications/Experience:
Required Experience: 7 or more years supporting DOD PKI hardware and software systems.Certification:CompTIA Security+Clearance:TS/SCI RequiredAdministrative experience in day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades to hardware, software, and operating systems in a PKI Environment.Two years' experience in the design, build, and maintenance of a PKI environment including upgrades to other hardware and software.Additional Qualifications/Experience:
Essential Networking:ACLs, VLANs, and foundational architecture knowledge.VMWare Proficiency:Competence in VMWare, encompassing management responsibilities and potentially deployment. Proficient troubleshooting and deployment of Virtual Machines (VMs) is expected.Active Directory Management:Proficient in Active Directory management with a strong understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPOs).SAN Experience:Possesses some experience with Storage Area Network (SAN) operations.Microsoft Certificate Authority:Hands-on experience with Microsoft Certificate Authority, including deployment of certificates and understanding of wildcard certificates.PKI Familiarity:Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), even if it involves serving as a Token Authority (TA) and deploying PIV or CAC cards.Security Tools Expertise:Highly beneficial if the candidate possesses significant experience with various security tools.VMWare Horizon (Bonus):Additional bonus for candidates with experience in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and VMWare Horizon.ATO (Authority to Operate) Understanding:Proven xperience in working with Information System Security Officers (ISSO) on Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
