Roles and Responsibilities
Define and improve sourcing strategies at business or plant level including management of regional & business teams.Requires specialized depth and breadth of expertise within their discipline and require strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy within region, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and complexity.Communicates complex messages and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to act and negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects.Uses high level of judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.Provide oversight to large suppliers or Business Process Outsourcing. Ensure Business Process Outsourcing compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and act as the primary point of contact on all service level issues and resolution.Responsible in managing a team, projects and to grow contacts/network within the region.
Required Qualifications
This role requires significant experience in the Sourcing, Supplier Development & Supplier Quality Management.Preferably Master's degree; or minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation/Aerospace, Supply Chain, Business, from an accredited university or college.Minimum 6 years of experience in sourcing strategies within aerospace/aviation environment.
