JOB SUMMARY
Marriott International is seeking a highly engaged and a motivated Salesforce Engineer who is passionate about continuously improving their skills and learning new technologies. The Engineer will be responsible for development of features in the Reservation Application used by agents at Customer Engagement Centers and properties around the globe and will be accountable for ensuring consistent security, privacy, and development standards are met. The ideal candidate will have proven Salesforce engineering experience developing an application of comparable scale in a highly complex and fast-paced environment.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Required:
6+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports/dashboards, Knowledge, data management, and sandbox environments
At least 3 years of experience required in Design, develop, test, and implement highly customized Salesforce applications using primarily Lightning Web Components and Aura Components.
Strong understanding of lightning flows and trigger framework
Expertise in programming languages and methodologies (e.g., Java and Apex)
Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, and/or Ajax
Experience serving as technical lead throughout the full software development life cycle and provide domain expertise.
Proficiency in JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks. Solid grasp of newer ECMAScript specifications
Experience integrating Salesforce.com with external systems using Request and Reply mechanism, Fire and Forget Mechanism, Batch Data Synchronization, Remote Call-in and UI Data Changes and also salesforce different API’s like SOAP web services, REST Service, Bulk API, Streaming API, Chatter REST API, Metadata API and Tooling API
Active Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification (should be older than 2.5 years)
Required at least 3 years of experience in Hospitality Industry
At least 2+ years of experience required understanding PMS, CRS
Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
Experience in developing frameworks in apex which can be used across enterprise.
Three (3) years of experience in Lightning configuration, features, and architecture
Required 2 years of experience in CTI, Live Agent, Omni-Channel, Email-to-Case, Web-to-Case, knowledge.
Experience implementing both authenticated and unauthenticated Salesforce Experience Cloud sites.
Required at least 2 years of Experience with ADA(a11y) Compliance
Solid understanding of Internet technologies: firewalls, web servers, web proxy servers, etc. Understanding of database concepts and data management (RDBMS) and SQL.
Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, other)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related OR equivalent years of experience and/or certification
Ability to work independently or on a team.
Preferred:
Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins and Dynatrace
Experience in development of hotel property applications
Experience in Agile methodology environment
Familiarity with Salesforce Process Builder and Workflows
Understanding of Salesforce security controls
Leadership experience in a sourced environment

Validates completeness of requirements prior to Service Provider solutioning
Ensures all projects follow the defined development and business case processes
Ensures proper coordination with appropriate IT and vendor relations teams
Provides consultation for routine and complex systems development
Coordinates with Operations and Infrastructure Delivery teams for deployment and production support activities
IT Governance
Follows all defined technology standards and processes (IT Governance, SM&G, Architecture, etc...)
Provides input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed
Maintains a proper balance between business and operational risk
Follows the defined project management standards and processes
Service Provider Management
Validates that Service Providers develop and manage respective aspects of a project plan (e.g., schedules, deliverables, metrics)
Makes short term plans for the team to effectively utilize resources
Monitors Service Provider outcomes
Reviews estimates of work effort for client projects provided by Service Providers for accuracy
Facilitates timely resolution of service delivery problems and minimizes the impact on client

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $190,154.00 annually.
Hawaii Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $116,205.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
New York Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $96,038.00 to $209,169.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
