About the RoleYou will be focused on data-centric software platform and data streaming. Your team is on a mission to build smart, inspired and useful products for faculty and academic communities.
Responsibilities
Designing and building our data platform and related analytical tools using Ruby on Rails, GoLang, and SQL
Leading and planning with DataOps team members and DevOps to identify and implement data strategy. This is in accordance withdata sources, data locations, and business use cases
Creating and maintaining complex and scalable enterprise-level microservices . Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance.
Leveraging third party APIs to build integrations with other systems. Establish data streaming and CDC architecture using Kafka and Debezium.
Working with large codebases to identify opportunities for refactoring or migration to external services. Participate in code review and mentoring of other team members
Requirements
Be proficient in producing high-quality code in Ruby on Rails or GoLang.
Have knowledge of SQL databases, such as postgreSQL or MySQL, including database and query design techniques. Experience building CDC streaming services using Kafka and Debezium
Possess expertise with service-oriented architectures (SOA), REST APIs, and GraphQL. Skilled in using git for version control
Display the ability to focus and carefully step through intricate logic to research and identify root causes behind data anomalies.
Show advanced logical and quantitative skills; ability to grasp business context behind the data. Possess an interest/background in EdTech / SaaS technology.
