　　Job Description With an expanded focus on fintech and neobanks, Value Added Services (VAS) Issuing Solutions enables capabilities including digital issuance of card credentials, Transaction Controls and Notifications, issuer loyalty programs, card benefits, and ATM services in a variety of forms from API services to full-service on-behalf-of models. 　　We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our DPS Forward and VTC SG Team in Singapore!

　　As a Senior Software Engineer you will help design, enhance and build our solutions for customers in an agile, fast-paced environment. You will be working with colleagues across the company, who will help support and challenge you every day. Designing solutions, writing code, unit testing code, reviewing code and frequent check-ins for continuous integration is just part of your DNA. You will see your code going to production in just a few weeks and used by strategic accounts worldwide. 　　Our team, as well as our group works under the principles of a common engineering model with both development and testing expertise. You are expected to have hands-on experience and sufficient knowledge to contribute on both fronts as needed.

　　Your responsibilities will include:

　　Understand new system enhancement requirements and design test strategy & test cases to ensure optimum quality of solutions being delivered.Have a strong hands-on approach to Automation and be able to code using various frameworks against test strategy & test cases to ensure the project’s Automation suite always stays current.Have exceptionally strong debugging skills to be able to find issues through execution of Automation suite and also be able to analyse the problem through log stacktrace or UI Console output to actual code / config that is causing problems to help fix the defect.Help our clients achieve their business goals by understanding their requirements and delivering the best solution.Contribute towards meetings and discussions with product and architecture teams.Leverage newer technologies and develop solutions to build the next generation of payment platforms.Work with a team of talented engineers and ensure DEV / QA best practices are followed.Understand coding guidelines and participate in code review processes.Excellent interpersonal skills along with a team player focus, with an ability to hone leadership skills over time and work as a mentor to junior team members in future.Develop close working relationships with members of teams within the organization.Become knowledgeable of Visa's core technology, infrastructure and standards.Participate in design and implement various aspects of secure payment solutions.  

　　We want our Senior Software Engineers to do much more than just write code. You would be expected to bring in expertise that include:

　　Experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with one or more programming languages, quality assurance, scripting languages and operating systems.Experience in software automation methodologies. Working knowledge of continuous Integration / Delivery, and Test Driven Development is good to have.Hands-on experience in backend technologies including JAVA, J2EE, SQL and related technology stack, preferably incorporating open source libraries.Hands-on experience in Test automation frameworks and technologies like RestAssured, Karate, TestNG is preferred and a strong plus.Hands-on experience on Behaviour driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber, JBehave or Serenity is preferred and a strong plus.Hands-on experience to Spring Framework, Spring Boot, MongoDB and JPA / Hibernate is a strong plus.Hands on experience in distributed architecture & data streaming approaches like Kafka and RabbitMQ is a strong plus.Strong foundation expected in data structures, algorithms, problem solving and complexity analysis.Strong designing, analytical, programming & communication skills needed, along with aptitude for building stable solutions.Some demonstrated experience with n-tier web application development and experience in latest JDK is desired. Java / J2EE certification is a Plus. Experience with web services standards and related technologies (XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, WS*, AXIS, JERSEY) is nice to have.Demonstrable experience utilizing object-oriented patterns and design best practices is a strong Plus.Exposure to tools like Postman / any REST Client is desired. LINUX skills are required.Familiarity with common application security vulnerabilities and how to overcome them (OWASP) is a plus.Knowledge in micro services and hands-on experience on container platforms like Kubernetes, Docker and OpenShift would be a strong plus.Knowledge on Performance analysis tools like Riverbed and Monitoring tools like Splunk and Opera would be a strong plus.

　　This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

　　Qualifications Basic Qualifications

　　2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

　　in Computer Science or other technology field

　　Typically, candidates are expected to have 2 - 3 years of experience working in a technology company on Java and related technologies. Experience in delivering enterprise-class, mission-critical, commercial, and scalable products is a must-have.
