Catalog Serving team, which is based out of NYC, is responsible for serving all catalog data to upstream systems in an efficient & reliable way in realtime to power Uber Eats experience (restaurants, groceries etc) for all the consumers across the globe to seamlessly shop and truly get anything on our platform. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring we are able to serve the catalog data with low latency and high efficiency at scale to power the consumer experience. You would be instrumental in experimenting with innovative technologies and come up with solutions to be able to serve catalog data at scale for the entire Delivery organization.
What the Candidate will do:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutionsSee opportunities and lead of the entire development lifecycle end-to-end, from architecture design and coding to testing and deploymentConduct detailed code reviews, offering constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and elevate coding standardsCollaborate with product managers, cross engineering teams, data scientists and other partners to collect requirements and translate them into technical specificationsMentor and guide other specialists, providing technical leadership and encouraging a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
Basic Qualifications
Relevant degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience7+ years of experience in low-level systems, distributed systems, or similar technologiesExperience coding with C++, Java, Python, or GoEnjoy building high quality software that is relied upon by millions of people around the worldComfortable working with ambiguity in constantly evolving environmentExperience working in large scale distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in building performant distributed systems with focus on correctness and consistencyExperience with large-scale eCommerce systems
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$174,000 per year - USD$193,500 per year.
