Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5+ years of software engineering or related experience.

In OCI Compute Services team, we are building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment
We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in many areas – such as distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, highly available services, and DevOps Services in the Cloud for areas like Repository, Build, Orchestration Pipeline and Deployment.
As a software engineer, you will own driving software features. You should be a distributed systems generalist, able to architect broad systems interactions, while being very hands-on, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and lower level system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Own technical design of key areas of the product.
Take Accountability to deliver features within schedule and in good quality
Collaborate with other product and services teams.
Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that may dent team’s ability to execute.
identify operational gaps and design solution to mitigate it.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
Strong knowledge of Java
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Working familiarity with Terraform, python
Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Linux system knowledge and Operations knowledge.
Experience with operational support on Cloud would be a plus.
