About Senior Security Solutions Engineer, InsightCloudSec

  We are looking for a cloud focused Solutions Engineer to work closely with our sales and product teams to provide the best cloud solutions to our customers. This role sits within a high priority part of our business and is a strategically important part of rapid7's growth plans; an exciting opportunity for someone to be involved in a rapidly expanding area.

  About the Team

  Our Global InsightCloudSec Sales Engineering Specialists team partners closely with our territory based Platform Sales Engineers and Account Executives in a pre-sales role to develop and position Rapid7 cloud security solution, InsightCloudSec. This team consists of a group of driven colleagues who are focussed on creating the right solutions for our customers. Due to the smaller size of the team, you can really make an impact and play a key role in future growth.

  About the Role

  The Senior Security Solutions Engineer acts as the Subject Matter Expert, partnering with Rapid7 account executives, platform sales engineers, and customer success managers to uncover cloudsec opportunities and run joint sales cycles through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, business and technical validation.

  In this role, you will:

  Work closely with prospect executives (VP & C-level tech executives in security, cloud center of excellence, and infrastructure) and their teams to align the value of InsightCloudSec software with their cloud adoption strategiesDrive objective achievement through disciplined planning and organization - setting objectives through the development of actionable steps with assigned owners, timelines, and measurements while anticipating and removing roadblocks and orchestrating internal and external resourcesDevelop in-depth knowledge of the InsightCloudSec product including value proposition, the needs of customers, and the competitive landscapeProvide strategic insight to the internal management team and suggest ideas for enhancement of operationsEngage in territory planning activities with the Account Executive team in order to prioritize high-value prospective customers.Work closely with territory platform sales engineers to enable and continuously develop the team's knowledge in cloud security and best practices.

  The skills you'll bring include:

  5+ years of solution selling subscription software or SaaS products to enterprise customersExperience selling in a sales specialist overlay model is preferredKnowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerized environments and cybersecurity technologiesAWS or other cloud service provider certificationsProven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and navigate complex customer organizations and align strategic solutions to multiple stakeholders within a target customerAn effective listener and rapport builder, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Existing relationships with key contacts in the territory are desired but not essentialDriven & creative self starter and strategic thinkerCustomer centric with the ability to lead, advise, and advocate for customersA team player who advocates for their team, and can collaborate effectively cross functionally to drive outcomes and meet customer needs and drive long term customer valueBS or BA degree or commensurate work experience
