Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Task Management , you will take part in the implementation and delivery of Issue Management's frameworks and performance features for task management at Amazon. You will work closely with the teams, as well as partners, to take the product from concept to customer release while ensuring the highest level of quality for your deliverables. In this role, you will: * Create innovative new products that are used by hundreds of thousands of users * Perform new Software architecture review for future features. * Take ownership of investigating and solving problems, and don’t wait for permission. Lead with empathy while doing so. * Comfortable discussing and delivering on deep technical details with senior engineers across partner teams, collaborating with them to solve challenging problems. * Develop applications, extend features, and create new benchmarks for performance evaluation * Influence architecture decisions for best performance * Communicate effectively up and down the leadership chain, with local and remote teams, verbally and in writing. * You can think strategically, identifying areas of long-term technical investment spanning a year or more. * You can lead engineers and be hands on to investigate design approaches, prototype technology and evaluate technical feasibility. * You establish architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor team members on their appropriate application.

Basic Qualifications
8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
8+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
