This Senior Sales Manager will lead our cross-industry Named Accounts Sales Executives in the effort to drive growth with some of Autodesk's largest, most strategic customers spanning AEC, Design & MFG, Automotive, and M&E/Owners to navigate their industry convergence, accelerate their adoption of enterprise platform solutions, and meet the challenges facing their global businesses.
This leadership role provides direction on account strategy, sales management, and execution to align with our organization's mission to exceed our financial and strategic customer goals. This sales leader will report to the Director of Tier One (High Growth) Named Accounts in Americas which includes accounts of global footprints. The position may be remote in North America.
Responsibilities
Achieve and exceed assigned financial and business targets by guiding the team to expand and develop existing Named AccountsManage and facilitate the team's execution of the sales strategy on the cross-industry Named AccountsDeliver accurate sales forecasts, and have an in-depth grasp of the business to facilitate weekly, quarterly, and annual forecast discussions and outlooksCoach team members to develop a sales pipeline that includes big thinking, with creative approaches to expand the business and improve operational metricsIncrease sales of the entire Autodesk solution and portfolio to end customers, including Software, Subscription, Consulting, Support, and leveraging Partner strategies or technologiesContribute to the overall mission and the continuous development of the Tier One program within Named AccountsBe a partner to critical internal functions (such as Product Development, Industry Strategy Marketing, Customer Success, and Consulting) to incubate the most impactful solutions and assist in scaling "as ready" within the team and the wider Autodesk organizationDevelop, communicate, and help execute customer-specific enterprise level strategiesCoach and communicate a vision for accounts at all levels both internal to Autodesk and externallyDrive ResultsDeliver strong ROI and value received by customersDevelop high-performing teamsMeet/exceed fiscal year targets for revenue, billings, consumption, and major milestones, etc.Achieve multi-year extraordinary high-growthGrow faster than our competition - by market share and takeouts through new use cases and personas to Autodesk, and attacks on whitespaceDevelop and support/close unique proposals that maximize out-of-renewal-cycle opportunities linking Autodesk value to customer business goals and outcomesExpand and deepen high value relationships (including C-level) by bringing critical aspects and ideas that impact corporate or divisional strategy, corporate results, and business modelsImpactful contract negotiations that optimize results and anchor the elements for enabling longer term success
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of strategic sales; and 2+ years of sales management experience (or equivalent experience) in the software industryIndustry experience in Architecture-Engineering-Construction, Industrial, Design & Manufacturing, Automotive, Media & Entertainment, or closely related SaaS industriesExperienced in leading strategic plans in a highly-matrixed environmentExperienced working with all seniority levels, internally and externally including C-suiteProven direct sales record in quota carrying roles with large enterprises, managing a pipeline as an individual contributor and over a teamStrong sales and account planning process (e.g., Target Account selling, New Solution Selling, Value Based Selling, and Situational Sales Negotiation, or similar methodologies)Adept and experienced in driving multi-year plans for long-term extraordinary growth

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $217,200 and $314,270. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
