Location/Division Specific Information
Our Materials and Structural Analysis business helps customers drive ground breaking research and discoveries by delivering innovative microscopy, spectroscopy, and microanalysis solutions, such as outstanding scanning and transmission electron microscopes, DualBeam™ FIB-SEMs, and spectrometers, combined with workflow software suites. We span across the business areas of spectroscopy, visualization software, semiconductor, life sciences, and material sciences, as well as global support functions like commercial sales, service, operations, research and development and marketing.
How will you make an impact?
As a Senior Sales Development Manager, you will support the growth of the Electron Microscopy business within the MSD Division, by driving market shares through lead generation and qualification. Intellectual curiosity and intensity will provide the opportunity to grow within team, both regionally and globally, as well as across the Thermo Fisher organization.
What you will do:
Prospect for new leads in new and/or existing accounts and market segmentsEstablish and grow relationships with new customersFigure out needs of current and future customers with keen attention to trendsQualify and advance leadsEngage with current customers on new technology and capabilitiesExplain how our solution meets customer needs which will require extensive research with potential and existing customersRun specific campaign roll-outs within the teamCoordinate workshops and site visits targeting new customersAnalyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and find opportunities for growing customers and business value through product positioning and differentiationWork closely with the sales organization to win business by providing outstanding sales strategies & value propositions, especially with high value deals
How you will get here
Education
MS degree in relevant technical or business domainAdditional MBA/other financial degree preferred

Semiconductor segment and market knowledge - you understand our customers' environment, processes, and challenges. You have shown you can transform this understanding into commercial solution strategies/initiatives (product, workflow, and service).Evangelize new customers and guide them to our proposed solutions.Identify innovative solutionsTrack record in delivering results and holding self-accountableGood level of business insight and commercial excellence
