As a Senior Associate in the Retail Risk Office, you will work closely with fellow risk advisors and second line stakeholders to govern activities associated with LAUNCH risk assessment and EWI/DLI Governance. As a Senior Associate in the Retail Risk Office, you will play a direct role in governing these key risk assessment processes to ensure that our business partners and their risk advisors are taking the appropriate steps to identify risks, be compliant with enterprise standards and have used the appropriate due diligence.
LAUNCH is a key risk assessment process at Capital One designed to prudently manage the risks associated with introducing new, expanded, or modified products and services. In this key role, you will support governance, ensuring risk identification, due diligence, and compliance with enterprise standards.EWI/DLI Governance is a process that ensures that enhanced documentation and reporting occur for the largest and most impactful change initiatives. This exciting role will help Retail drive speed, accuracy and adherence through our innovation and change routines, working closely with our business partners and leaders.
A successful Senior Associate within Retail will communicate well and tailor messages to their audiences, solving for customer needs while simultaneously challenging - and effectively influencing - the status quo. Prioritization, urgency, and the ability to work autonomously are also important. We are an extremely collaborative group that implements sustainable processes, shares lessons learned and iterates quickly. Risk Management Responsibilities:
Ensure process framework is delivered within established Enterprise standardsRisk Consulting to one or more Business Areas relative to their business lines and provide advice and guidance as requiredCoordinate the various process interactions including meeting logistics,Monitor system of record for accuracy, quality, and consistencyAct as a process subject matter expert and leverage this knowledge to support and influence process participantsProvides training to Stakeholders as neededExecute upon changing strategic and operational prioritiesConstantly monitor and interpret impacts to the risk environmentAs requested, partner with second line partners when changes may have impacts across multiple areas within the bank
Project / Process Management Responsibilities:
Lead change control efforts at the process level to ensure impacts are appropriately assessed, documented and implementedDevelop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across the enterpriseCoordinate the various process interactions including meeting logistics,Monitor system of record for accuracy, quality, and consistencyBuild collaborative relationships with Risk Advisory and Compliance communitiesUnderstand and use data to tell the compelling story (trends, changes and impacts)Be intellectually curious to question the obvious, explore options, and seek to develop and implement efficiencies and process improvementsAble to self manage, prioritize work and and consistently deliver results

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificationAt least 1 year of Risk Management Systems of Records (GRC, Prime, Fuse)At least 1 year of Financial Services, Risk Management, Compliance or Audit ExperienceAt least 2 years of Project Management or Process Management experienceAt least 2 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business client
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's DegreePMP Certification or Masters Certificate of Project Management (CPM)Working knowledge of consumer regulatory laws and regulationsMS Office, Google Suite, Tableau
