Job Description Your Career
Become a member of the Revenue Accounting team at Palo Alto Networks! We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Revenue Analyst who is excited to join a high growth Company. The ideal candidate must possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. This person will perform revenue close accounting activities while working with key stakeholders, lead projects, develop new processes and improve on the month-end close process. The position requires a hands-on person who is flexible, solutions-oriented and works well under pressure.
Your Impact
Own monthly revenue close procedures, including preparation of revenue and deferred revenue related journal entries, reconciliations and close presentationsPerform revenue and deferred revenue analytics and trends to provide visibility into relationships and drive revenue optimization initiativesPartner with cross-functional business partners and third parties to implement best practices, automation, and continuous process improvementsDrive post-acquisition integration related to revenue processes of acquired companiesSupport revenue related system implementations and perform user acceptance testingManage projects, action items, and creation of procedural documentation and training materialsEnsure compliance with SOX 404 key controlsAssist with external audit requests and special projects and ad hoc requests as needed Qualifications Your Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred or equivalent military experience required3+ years of progressive relevant experience required or two years public accounting experienceExperience with revenue ASC 606 is required Familiarity with close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparationCritical thinker with a risk-based approach mindset and strong problem-solving skillsAbility to build relationships across multiple functions and implement new processesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and execute with accuracy and efficiencyIntermediate to advanced Excel skills requiredProficiency in Google Suite a plusExperience with SAP ERP revenue accounting a plusExperience with high technology clients in the Hardware, Software and/or SaaS space a plus Additional Information The Team

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $87,400/yr to $141,450/yr. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
