How you'll contribute:
As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you'll be responsible for supporting asset liability management and risk assessment of Brighthouse Reinsurance Company of Delaware (BRCD), a captive of Brighthouse Financial, with a focus on hedging analysis, reporting, and communication. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Analysis, you will support the asset liability management team in creating tools to identify and measure the risk factors to the STAT and GAAP balance sheet of BRCD. Play a leading role in developing, improving, documenting hedging related analysis.
In this role, you'll get to:
Build, enhance and maintain the tools to identify and measure the risk factors embedded in Cash Flow Testing of BRCD balance sheet.Formulate proposal on hedging and management action.Assist quarterly/monthly working group meeting with attribution, sensitivity and proforma analysis.Coordinate with business constituents from capital, actuarial, investment on process change, ad hoc analysis, and model/assumption update. Document modeling approach, assumptions, and core results. Supporting the hedging and risk management of Variable Annuities with living benefit riders (VA), Fixed Index Annuities (FIA) and Structured Indexed Annuities (SIA).Perform Variable Annuity hedging as needs arise.
We're looking for people who have:
Experience in Universal Life with Secondary Guarantees (ULSG), term life and VA product STAT and GAAP reporting, as well as CFT. Strong technical skills in model building, data processing, analysis using MS Office, database, and various programming languages.Knowledge of reinsurance operation and accounting. Fair understanding of common derivative and their usage in hedging operationStrong computing and programming skills with experience in Python, VBA, SQL, etc.Strong communication skills Fellowship or Associateship of Society of Actuaries is a plus.
