Siemens Logistics LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Mechanic in support of installation and repair of Baggage Handling System (BHS) equipment at Airports throughout the US. This position requires experience and knowledge with these systems as outlined below. Travel requirements for this position are extensive, and Senior Project Mechanics must be willing to travel for long periods of time. Senior Project Mechanics will be required to travel to a site for several weeks at a time. Majority of work will be performed Monday to Friday and shift times will vary according to site and job requirements. You may be required to work some weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:
Senior Project Mechanics will lead a small group of technicians and assist in performing installation, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of BHS equipment. They will oversee work performed on the Baggage Handling Systems as well of any maintenance activities that are required. Must have the ability to safely lead a small team to complete necessary tasks in the scheduled time frame, and within budget.
Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Lifting (50 to 100 pounds), bending, reaching, climbing, walking, crawling, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, speaking, sight, and/or hearing to complete the job duties.
Required Skills / Education:
Experience: 7 + years of experience
Education Required: HS Diploma or GED required
Supervisory/lead experience in mechanical installation and repair preferred
Electro-Electronics / Mechanical skills required.
Excellent Customer Relations skills.
Adhere to all safety regulations and safe work practices.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills including but not limited to belts, bearings, pulleys, drives, and gearmotors.
Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills including 480V three phase motor and control circuits, electrical schematic print reading, variable frequency drives, motor starters, and input/output systems required.
Working knowledge of PLC systems and operations preferred.
Familiarity with high level control systems SCADA systems, and network architecture including servers, ethernet, fiber optic, network switches.
Maintenance management software skills including generating and completing preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
Basic management and supervisory skills involving organization, communications, scheduling, and computers.
Must have driver license with clean MVR.
Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings per airport requirements.
Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
Travel: Ability to travel regularly—75% or more

The pay range for this position is $28-$48 an hour.The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
