The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for IT infrastructure and technology components of large scale projects for our Global Financial Services client and will report into the Regional Portfolio (POD) Manager. The individual will be required to engage and work with global teams and partners, across a large distributed and matrixed organization. The Senior Project manager will exhibit leadership qualities and be accountable for the successful execution of projects in region, to schedule, budget and quality. They should be able to demonstrate strong presentation and public speaking skills e.g. chairing internal and external meetings.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE:
Experience leading, managing, IT infrastructure and technology components of our customer's Global Financial Services portfolio.Comprehensive understanding of project management practices and methodologies across technologies and industriesStrong emphasis on the importance of stakeholder management and engagement, and the importance of excellence in communication in this function.Extensive experience in managing and reporting financials across multiple projects.Able to effectively communicate at executive level
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of IT infrastructure projectsManages day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projectsUnderstands and manages key project financial components to ensure projects are delivered within budgetAccountable for managing and overseeing real estate facility partners and IT partners, to deliver a successful outcome for our client.Technically competent, solid understanding of technology stack, network, security, end user, audio and video conferencing etc.Ability to create in depth WBS with interdependencies and a defined critical pathDemonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills; develops and executes an efficient internal and external communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management within the teamBuilds and strengthens relationships with the customer and stakeholders (internal and external)Responsible for creation and maintenance of resource plans ensuring effective resource allocation and distribution across portfolio of projectsImplements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of projects in accordance with customer's requirementsMinimizes our exposure and risk across multiple projectsProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plansManages and analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projectsUtilize project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiencies
Qualifications:
Minimum ten years of IT Project Management experience in a Professional Services environment, leading Information Technology projects with Global Financial customersMinimum 5 years project management experience in the Global Financial Services industryPMP or Prince 2 certification is preferredIdeally from a Consultancy or leading systems Integrator background with different end ClientsNetworking, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, Security and Collaboration (Unified Communications) Project Management experienceBachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related fieldUnderstanding of financial processes; ability to understand, analyze and create financial reportsWorking knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of project managementProven experience with people management, strategic planning, risk management and change managementAbility to work independently and aggressively track to project timelinesExcellent documentation skills and attention to detailAbility to communicate well with customers and co-workersExperience in effectively influencing and leading personnel and the ability to write business reports in a well-organized mannerStrong team skillsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)Proficiency with project management software
