  Job Description

  AECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to lead federal environmental investigation and remediation projects. This candidate will be based out of the Latham, NY office, however; can work remotely.

  Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management

  Supervise and manage a small team of 3-8 professional staff engaged in complex environmental projects

  Familiar and practiced in developing complex, detailed cost estimates, subcontractor bid packages, and supporting technical proposal development

  Prioritize and enforce adherence to ethical and safety standards

  Leads teams using sound financial management along with advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices

  Manage and interpret various types of environmental data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance

  Analyze financial statements and complete budget tracking

  Perform work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager

  Oversee the preparation of work plans and organize project studies

  Perform complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team

  Supervise junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work

  Conduct reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements

  BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  Must be able to pass a background check

  Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience leading and managing multi-disciplined, diverse, technical teams and successfully managing complex remediation projects for USACE and/or AFCEC

  Professional License (PE, PG) and/or (PMP)

  10+ years’ experience in environmental investigation and remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project management

  Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degree

  Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations

  Experience successfully managing environmental projects for Federal clients, including USACE, AFCEC, ANG, ARNG, and EPA.

  Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA

  Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills

  Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery

  Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences

  Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and project planning documents.

  Interest in business development and account management

  Have led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies in support of Federal environmental projects

  Overnight travel required on occasion.

  Offered rate of compensation in Latham, NY will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000.
