Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Senior Project Manager supporting airline customers in guiding and driving positive transformations in global aviation projects, reporting to the Manager of Results Management. This position will be working out of the Richmond, BC, office.
As the Project Manager, your project management skills in airline and aviation will deliver cost-efficient, top-tier projects that provide lasting value for our customers. You will proactively create and manage project plans, approach challenges, and communicate openly with clients and our leadership team.
This position is part of the Aviation Business Solutions organization and reports directly to the Manager of the RMO.
Position Responsibilities:
1) Project Management:
• Take the lead and manage complex Airline projects from initiation to successful completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various technical personnel during all project phases.
• Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
2) Stakeholder Management:
• Communicate proactively with all personnel to encourage, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, commercial, operations, and IT, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Act as the main point of contact for any queries related to the project.
3) Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
• Monitor risks during the project lifecycle and make necessary adjustments.
4) Budgeting and Financial Management:
• Oversee the project's financial budget, notifying stakeholders of critical cost implications, potential contingency scenarios, and the overall financial performance of the project.
5) Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain and update project documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations, industry standards, company policies, and professional best practices.
• Provide detailed reports to stakeholders and senior management on the project's status and milestones.
6) Continuous Improvement:
• Analyze processes and strategies within the airline to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and enhanced customer experience.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management
• Knowledge and understanding of airline operations or regulatory agency
• Demonstrated success in fostering and sustaining valuable connections with customers, stakeholders, colleagues, and partners
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project
• Willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50%
• Ability to be on call outside of regular business hours
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
• Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
• Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
• Experience working with Business Process Improvement Initiatives
• Experience in successfully managing multiple project teams simultaneously.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
