Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney's Mechanical Systems, Externals and Nacelles (MSEN) Engineering Module Center is seeking experienced and highly motivated Project Engineering professional to support commercial and military programs. This role will require the candidate to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and brining projects to closure. The project engineer may have responsibility for any of the MSEN hardware including bearing compartments, externals installs, bearings, oil tanks and pumps, the main and accessory gearboxes. As hardware owners, the candidate should be customer focused as well as technically proficient and capable of communicating effectively to meet the needs of the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT), the program office, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage task budget and schedule in accordance with program negotiated deliverables.
Prepare and present status and technical content to CIPT and Pratt & Whitney management.
Coordinate and lead teams to meet hardware delivery requirements to support engine development plans.
Develop and manage risk assessment and risk mitigation plans.
Prepare business cases, funding proposal and Basis of Estimates (BOE’s) if required.
Integrate with supply chain professionals and suppliers to build and maintain credible industrial plans for module hardware.
10% travel requirement
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science Degree
5+ years of experience in Aviation, Aerospace, or Automotive industry OR an Advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree preferred.
Aerospace and/or Aviation industry experience.
Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of complex mechanical systems.
Proficiency in use of program/project management tools (i.e., SAP, EVMS, Teamcenter)
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and tools (i.e., LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma).
Ability to engage cross-functional teams and know when/where to get help.
Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and management.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and engineering presentations to all levels.
Detail and results oriented with good planning skills.
Ability to meet commitments, balance and resolve conflicting priorities.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
