We are looking for a data-driven leader, willing to think big and invent & simplify, as we continue to experiment with innovative ways to scale our growth in Sub-Saharan Africa. As the Sr. Program Manager for Retail Operations & Initiatives (RO&I), you will have an opportunity to help develop local e-commerce and delight customers with the expansion of Amazon’s world-class selection. You will partner with business, operations, and technology teams across the business to drive new initiatives aimed at eliminating, automating, or streamlining process that will unlock scale. This is a highly visible cross-functional role that interacts regularly with senior leaders across several teams and requires thought leadership in shaping sustainable growth strategies.
Key job responsibilities
Developing the vision and strategy for new Amazon initiatives that will help to scale growth in Sub-Saharan Africa
Collaborating with partner teams to define and implement automated solutions that scale
Gathering and analyzing data to uncover opportunities to further improve the experience
Driving thought leadership, leading cross-functional projects, and owning the communication to senior leaders on highly strategic initiatives

Cape Town, ZAF
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor's degree
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy, definition and end to end product delivery
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
