BAE Systems is a world leader in flight critical controls and avionics and is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we are seeking experienced Production Program Manager who has demonstrated the ability of leading and managing complex production programs throughout the project lifecycle. The selected individual will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and leading a multidisciplinary team to execute a portfolio of complex production programs within schedule and budget.

Job Summary:
Manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, monitors, integrates, and executes a portfolio of projects. Ensures achievement of financial, schedule, quality, and new business performance objectives. Participates in the support of new business and in the development of financial reporting for the company. Models and demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security. Direct people-management responsibility is required.
An Engine Systems Production Program Manager leads a cross-functional team that designs, develops, verifies and manufactures an engine control utilized on a variety of commercial and military aircraft. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the overall performance of a portfolio of productions programs including interfacing with the customer, coordination with cross-functional organizations and management of the internal project financials, delivery schedules, and quality performance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops, executes and maintains program planning providing guidelines for daily operation of the program in accordance with the company s Lifecycle Management Guidelines and the Operational Framework processes.
Manages the cost, delivery, quality and technical performance of the team through integrated project management. Implements controls in order to perform and monitor program execution.
Experience with proposals and the Operations proposal process.
Leads cost takeout activities to ensure that production costs align with the internal business case. Works closely with operations, sourcing, finance and engineering personnel in Fort Wayne, Indiana to ensure that the product meets the long-term manufacturing strategy.
Exceptional oral communication and formal presentation skills and a demonstrated ability to establish excellent internal and external customer relationships.
Keeps management informed of program status and any technical, cost, schedule, or administrative issues. Prepares program reviews and program reporting as required.
Leads and inspires the team and ensures that program accomplishments are recognized and celebrated.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience
Bachelors degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline with relevant experience
leading technical development programs and 10 years of experience
Demonstrated experience leading diverse, multi-discipline teams in a high tempo environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Expertise applying project management skills and techniques including: stakeholder management, team-building, critical decision making, cost analysis, risk mitigation and opportunity realization
Leadership experience in manufacturing
Strong presentation, data analysis and organizational skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master s degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline and 15 years ofdemonstrated experience leading diverse teams in a high tempo, aerospace electronics productionenviroment
Leadership experience within supply chain environment
Strong foundation in the Operations function
Experience with the development and manufacture of safety / flight critical electronics
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for production and support of safety / flight critical electronics
Master s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant field
Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
