The position can be based in the beautiful Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid role (3 days a week in the office) because we believe it is easier to learn, model, practice, and strengthen our culture when we’re in the office surrounded by our colleagues.
AWS People Experience and Technology (PXT) is seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM), Business Operations and Internal Engagement. In this role, you will be at the center of driving the people agenda for AWS, leading mechanisms for AWS PXT leadership to build and operationalize plans that power our business. You will also lead initiatives to engage the broader PXT organization in these plans, helping inspire and create a sense of purpose and community by linking our PXT builders’ work with the AWS PXT’s strategic plans.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage long-range (Three Year Plan) and annual planning cadence (OP1 and Goals) which operationalizes our strategy into actionable programs and initiatives.
• Lead the business cadence for AWS PXT including running and improving mechanisms to set, manage and track goals, and ensure accountability for results.
• Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews for AWS PXT leadership.
• Design and facilitate offsites, meetings and summits for AWS PXT leadership and builders.
• Develop, evolve, and deprecate mechanisms and processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Serve as program manager for key projects, driving the strategic vision and project execution forward.
• Create mechanisms to connect and align goals upstream to Amazon and downstream within the AWS PXT organization.
• Partner with the Program Managers across AWS PXT facilitate the sharing (and proliferation) of information of best-known practices and drive tight alignment and collaboration with shared goals and deliverables. Often serves as advisors to peers.
• Develop and drive mechanisms and forums to scale, drive collaboration, increase innovation, and build community across the AWS PXT ecosystem.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or programs
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
Strong verbal communication and advanced writing skills
Experienced in working with and influencing Directors and VPs
Proven ability to think and plan ahead, prioritize short and long term, and manage time effectively
Excellent meeting management and facilitation skills
Experience organizing and leading events (in-person and virtual)
Proven experience working cross functionally and holding people accountable for deliverables without a formal reporting structure

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
