Join the Mizuho team as a Senior Program Manager!
The Senior Program Manager will be a part of our Americas Program Management team. The mandate is to define and lead large strategic programs and other initiatives which have significant impact across various functions at Mizuho.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive execution of key initiatives through the full project life cycle from strategic project planning to delivery including development of target state business processes, build and adoption of technology solutionsWork across multiple functions and legal entities to structure and manage end-to-end project efforts through deep understanding of requirements, technologies, cross-functional impact, and business strategyEnsure target end state is delivered inclusive of required governance, business process redesign and appropriate controlsLeading the translation of business needs into technology solutions and requirementsManage weekly status reporting, understand and maintain program's RAID log, run daily and/or weekly working groups to support successful program deliveryProvide appropriate information share and updates with senior management and other key stakeholders as well as coordinating steering committee meetingsOversight of program and project level resources including those provided by 3rd party providersManagement of the career growth of Mizuho employees who are under direct supervision
Requirements:
Significant experience and track record of delivery of major cross functional initiatives at large and complex financial institutions. This includes how to structure initiatives, project planning, budgeting, and resource allocationProven experience of team leadership, career development of others and developing individuals in the program management spaceExceptional stakeholder management skills including experience at performing this across multiple functions, committees and areasStrong knowledge and experience of regulatory change managementStrong knowledge of capital markets and broker dealer frameworkUnderstanding of risk, finance, operations, and data processes as well as the technologies enabling themStrong business, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and decision making skillsSuperior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staffSolid knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and toolsTolerance and understanding in multi cultures
The expected base salary ranges from $160k-$200k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
