Job Description Your Career
The Professional Services Program Manager will lead services programs and projects as part of the delivery cycle, including handling all deployment resources and ensuring that all deliverables are met and delivered on-time and under budget. The Program Manager will drive customer deployment programs and projects including program, process initiatives, as well as partner with IT on systems and infrastructure processes. These engagements are typically more than 100 days total effort. Project Managers will carry a project load of about 15 projects totalling $2M in revenue.
Your Impact
Determine project partners and team structure/organization partners will include technical and business resourcesIn conjunction with project partners, help ensure the definition of project scope, requirements, and deliverablesDevelop project timeline and landmarks using appropriate tools and techniquesBuild and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirementsIdentify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities and tasksRun day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scopeWork on services operational projects that target new services IP delivery, partner communications, scheduling, etc.Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to clientEffectively apply Palo Alto Networks Project Management methodology and implement project standardsMinimize our exposure and risk on all projectsEnsure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyTrack and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis Qualifications Your Experience
BS in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent education/training/experience or equivalent military experience required8+ years of related work experience or leading complex projects desiredAnalyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilizationStrong proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, @task, or Liquid PlannerGood presentation skills including written, oral, presentationGood organizational skills including tool utilization (spreadsheets, project management tools, mind maps), information collection, attention to detail, and prioritizationStrong interpersonal skills including appreciation and the ability to elicit collaboration from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departmentsFlexible to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines - able to promptly and expertly react to project adjustments and alterationsExperience managing large scale (Global) deployments with multiple projects, teams and resourcesProject Management Institute PMP(r) certification or equivalent a plusExperience with Google’s G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is a plusConversational level of English and native level of Japanese as this position is required to work with Japanese-speaking clients on a daily basis - the ability to clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences and to explain the impact in business terms Additional Information The Team
