About the Role
In this role as the Rider Core Platform PM, you will own core components of the Uber Rider experience, and partner with teams across Uber to ensure our users can seamlessly and intuitively use Uber. You help unify our diverse ecosystem of offerings into a unified, understandable experience for customers. Your role will focus on Design Systems, Frameworks, and Component Libraries to increase consistency and usability across Uber and all of its services!
You will work with an outstanding design team, user research, and data science teams - and across product teams within the company - in order to understand customer needs and missing functionality. You will then craft comprehensive solutions to address them. As a result, your work will touch millions of riders a day, including the experiences of your friends and family!
What You'll Do:
You'll own and develop design systems, component libraries, and UX frameworks to enable dozens of product teams to ship consistent and fabulous user experiences into the Rider app.Partner with design, research, data science, engineering, operations, and other Product Manager stakeholders to understand user needs and difficulties, and then design holistic solutions to tackle themWork with product teams around the company to understand their use cases and evangelize our toolkits for them to use; growing their velocity and delivering better user experience.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them. You're deeply proud of what you've accomplished.A passion for user experience and design - you can both guide design priorities for the team, and have an excellent sense of experience principles.Strong capacity to communicate ideas, storytelling, and collaborate with stakeholders.You have "camera-like" product abilities, meaning you can zoom out to help set a broader vision, but also zoom in to every little detail of your product area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in design, computer science, psychology, statistics, startups, or other relevant field that will allow you to bring significant and diverse insights to the table.Detailed data and experimentation experience - you can get the data you need and can whip it into an enlightening story with no help. You have experience crafting meaningful, thorough multivariate tests and experiments that will help you set product direction.Consumer-facing product experience, and an understanding of what it takes to ship globally.Platform experience: you can take a laundry list of use cases, and connect the dots to develop well-rounded, scalable solutions with internal partners.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$174,000 per year - USD$193,500 per year.
