The Amazon Toys & Entertainment team is looking for a passionate and visionary Senior Product Manager who loves to innovate and create world-class customer experiences that will change customers' lives.

  This Senior Product Manager will be responsible for analyzing data, defining strategy and leading large programs to enhance or create new customer experiences and drive significant improvements in business performance. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop strategy, set the roadmap, and then drive execution with cross-functional teams. This role comes at the intersection of business, marketing, technology and data engineering.

  As a Senior Product Manager, you will have ownership and responsibility through the full product cycle, from data analysis, business insights to strategy, prioritization, and development to adoption. You will work with product management, analytics, operations, and retail teams across Amazon. A successful candidate will excel in cross-functional team work, thrive in bringing new experiences to market, experimenting regularly, and enjoy making needle moving impact. The ideal candidate will also be highly resourceful, customer-obsessed, and will have an ability to think and act both strategically and tactically, and to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic business environment.

  Key job responsibilities

  Our vision is to cement Amazon as the #1 customer destination for Entertainment & Character (E&C) licensed products by carrying the largest selection, creating best-in-class CX, executing cross-channel marketing campaigns that generate buzz and excitement among fans around new releases, and delighting Amazon customers at major fan events.

  We are looking for a leader with proven product management skills to lead Entertainment & Character Analytics. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining the roadmap and driving end-to-end execution for Franchise and Character external insights sharing product, which is a foundational pillar to the growth of our Entertainment & Character licensed business. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with core teams across Amazon to build a new data and insights sharing solution with our external business partners and drive significant improvements in business performance.

  Projects and initiatives are developed on long-term horizons and tie directly to our P&L. This highly visible role requires a candidate with the proven leadership ability to facilitate and guide strategic alignment and collaboration with core teams across Amazon. They must exercise considerable judgement, drive strategy and tactical execution, creation of tenets, utilize written/verbal communication at a senior executive level, and evangelize.

  A day in the life

  • Develop business and product requirements, and translate those into high quality product roadmaps

  • Gather data and perform sophisticated analytical exercises

  • Employ data mining, segmentation, and other analytical techniques to capture important trends and create relevant measurement dashboards

  • Drive standardization, simplification and automation of internal processes and data products

  • Manage weekly and monthly business reporting and create relevant measurement dashboards

  • Work with various stakeholders to understand business drivers, goals, and actionable outcomes using analytics

  • Manage databases and work with technology teams to develop systems to support business intelligence needs

  Basic Qualifications

  7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  Experience with end to end product delivery

  A proven track record of setting and exceeding aggressive goals

  Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  Ability to work independently and effectively across internal and external organizations

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master's degree or equivalent

  Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

  Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, ability to impact outcomes in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting to senior leadership

  Excellent business judgment and demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically

  Self-starter who is customer obsessed, detail-oriented, and an enthusiastic team player

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
