In the Biologics & Devices Digital & Tech function, we are expanding our capabilities in manufacturing execution. We are building a product team to deliver and own the backbone of our future capabilities. This role will oversee the manufacturing systems that will operate our Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing facilities. These facilities will support small- and large-scale production, including introduction of new biologics products and processes. We are on a journey to design and implement an integrated manufacturing environment to enable enhanced data integrity, traceability, and compliance. The manufacturing suite will provide a valuable source of data for process analysis and optimization, and a digitally transformed way of working.
This role will oversee the manufacturing product team in designing, implementing, and supporting the manufacturing platform of the future. This will include creation of procedures and policies, formation of product team and definition of roles and team capabilities, creation of standards and reusable validation packages, vendor relationships and contract oversight, as well as definition and oversight of lifecycle processes, project delivery, and standard validation packages.
Key Responsibilities:Lead your teams in developing vision, strategy and roadmap for your product, aligned to a clear North-star metric and KPIs, defensible to stakeholders.Coach and develop your Product Managers/Analysts to become effective team members that ship valuable work, focused on data-driven decision making and customer centricity.Develop a manufacturing system (MES) product strategy and roadmap to support the clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing capabilities within R&D and Supply Chain.Deliver projects to increase manufacturing system capabilities in both clinical and commercial manufacturing environments.Implement an MES product lifecycle plan to maintain manufacturing systems in a compliant and highly functioning state at multiple factories.Train your team how to determine and understand your customer's needs better than anyone, through a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis.Work with colleagues from multi-disciplinary backgrounds to set a clear and cohesive strategy for your product area, whilst still maintaining space to incorporate new ideas along the journeyRigorously apply the scientific method and lean start-up thinking to set hypotheses, design experiments, test assumptions and break-down complex problems into smaller chunksMeasure the impact of all new work released on your roadmap, close the value loop and ensure adoptionWork as a servant-leader, reducing dependencies, removing blockers and co-ordinating with other product teams and key stakeholdersMaintain high credibility and deliver real value by shipping product that make our users' lives 10x easierAct as a leader to enhance and elevate Product Management as a discipline within GSK TechWhy You?
