Your Role:The Senior Process Engineer in Bellefonte, PA supports manufacturing including improvements, validation studies and requests from internal and external customers. Job duties include:
Support development and transfer of new products and technologies including formulation, hydration, mixing, particle synthesis, powder processing, and packing of liquid and dry media.Oversee pilot scale operation and work with other scientists and production staff to successfully complete product scale-up and transfer to manufacturing setting.Develop process studies including qualification and validation of manufacturing equipment.Write protocols, conduct experiments, and generate data to support investigations, new/custom products, and/or applications for internal and/or external customers and report results.Work with Production, Maintenance, and QA to ensure existing manufacturing processes remain in control.Initiate, propose, and implement optimization projects to increase safety, improve quality, reduce manufacturing costs, reduce cycle times, and/or increase product yield.Develop project justification and capital project proposals.Take part in and contribute to a safe working environment by following corporate and departmental safety regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Physical Attributes:
Frequently sitting, standing, walking, reaching above the shoulder, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching, or crawling for extended periods of time.Wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes)Who You Are:Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other Engineering DisciplinePreferred Qualifications:
