Job Description
Ready to make a difference? BAE Systems is looking for laser and optical systems engineers to join our cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to develop next-generation optical electronic warfare systems. This role is for individual technical contributors performing one or more of the following systems engineering functions:Analyze system requirements and customer use cases for lasers and laser-based systems.Develop laser and beam director (pointer/tracker) system architectures using model-based systems engineering tools.Develop Functional Performance and Qualification test plans and/or procedures.Write Functional Performance and Qualification test reportsContribute to a major customer reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, and/or TRR).Perform system level integration and test.Verify and validate complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.This position will require you to be onsite in Merrimack, NH. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
US Citizenship required.Must possess an Active Secret Clearance and be eligible for a SAP/SAR Clearance.Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 6+ years related experience; or Master's degree and 4+ years related experience.Experience in requirements analysis, design, and test of optical systems Familiarity with the specification of laser systems and common system constraints.Experience with hardware/software systems integration and troubleshooting.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field with 8+ years related experience; or Master's degree and 6+ years related experience.Experience in architecture development, design, integration, and test of lasers systems.Experience in architecture development, design, integration, and test of beam pointing systems.Experience developing defense products, especially for aerospace.Experience Leading small teams of colleagues (3-6 people) in developing new system capability or subsystem
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
